As in previous editions, I'm participating in the Bloggers Quilt Festival, which is organised by Amy's Creative Side.

There are several categories, and here I'm participating in the ART quilts category.
Esta es mi versión de El Arco Delicado, Delicate Arch.
This is my version of the Delicate Arch.

It is made from a photo I took in the Arches National Park, Utah, in 2015, after climbing to reach the point where the arch can be observed.
I used the "raw appliqué" technique, placing the little scraps of fabric as in a collage, choosing colours and shapes and without using fusible interfacing.

I enhanced the shades and stone hues with different colour threads.

If you like the Arch, vote for my quilt: click HERE, find the photo of the Arch and vote for it. (September 25 -30).

  5. Just Beautiful! I especially like how you used the threads/quilting to enhance the overall design. I have a special interest in constructing quilts from personal photos, so this quilt really speaks to me.
